🔄 What Kinds of Cord Changes Work?

This calculator works only when switching between the same type and firmness of cord in different sizes.

✅ Example:
Switching from 3mm single strand cotton string to 6mm single strand cotton string

❌ Not Recommended:
Switching from 4mm 3-ply rope to 5mm single strand string
—or—
Swapping between soft and stiff cords, even if they’re both 3-ply

💡 Tip: Even cords labeled the same can vary between suppliers. Softer cords stretch more and use less per knot; stiffer cords use more. For best results, stick with similar cord types and hardness.
